Annual Vignette

Valid from 1 December of the previous year to 31 January of the following year. Ideal for frequent visitors or residents. The annual vignette offers the best value for regular users of the Austrian motorway network.

2-Month Vignette

Valid for exactly two calendar months from the chosen start date. Suitable for holidaymakers, seasonal workers, or those with occasional stays in Austria. Available as both a sticker and an e-Vignette.

Special Toll Roads

Urban: 50 km/h | Rural: 100 km/h | Motorway: 130 km/h. Variable limits possible via signage.

Blood Alcohol Limit

0.5 ‰ for car drivers. 0.1 ‰ for professional drivers, novice drivers, and vehicles over 7.5 t.

Winter Equipment

Winter tyres or snow chains are mandatory in wintry road conditions. No fixed season — situation-dependent.

Mandatory Equipment

Warning triangle, high-visibility vest, and first aid kit are legally required. Fire extinguisher recommended.
